Description

Our client is a growing middle-market aerospace and defense products contractor enterprise invested in by a prominent, growth-focused financial sponsor. The company is seeking an operationally-oriented Chief Financial Officer to strategically partner with the executive team and as they focus on driving growth through organic and acquisitive means.

The CFO must have background experience working with companies providing products and/or services into the aerospace and defense sector or military/government in broader terms.  They will be responsible for introducing formal systems and process across the finance and accounting function while building out cross-functional management processes to maximize value and efficiency across the enterprise. This position requires sound leadership and hands-on skills in finance, accounting, reporting and analysis as well as contract administration, procurement and inventory management. The CFO must be willing to “roll up their sleeves” and dig into the details and will have the experience and confidence to step into a strategic role in partnership with the CEO and operating team. Prior exposure to dealing with lenders in a leveraged environment will be an asset along with an understanding of the requirements and expectations working for a private equity investor.
