Our client is a growing middle market specialty contractor company serving large-scale commercial, industrial, institutional and residential customers. They are seeking an experienced entrepreneurial Chief Operating Officer to lead the day-to-day operations under the direction of new private equity owners. The business has grown to be one of the most trusted and respected contractors of their kind in the state and is looking for an executive leader with an owner mentality to build a highly effective team while professionalizing operations as the business continues to scale.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Chief Operating Officer with a demonstrated ability to execute and lead the build-out of an entrepreneurial specialty contractor business in partnership with investors. You will have strong business acumen and operational discipline with proven experience in professionalizing and building out an organization driven by metrics and best practices. You will have a successful track record of creating a culture of performance and operational excellence with a team of professionals and field workers. Key mandates for this position are to drive growth in the service and maintenance side of the business while focusing on the higher-margin retrofit and replacement markets. A top priority will be to maintain and build off the high-level productivity and customer satisfaction that the company is known for. Ideally the COO will have experience in Mechanical or Electrical Services, HVAC or other Industrial Services.  It will be an asset to have had previous experience leading a private equity sponsored or investor-led enterprise.
